SUBJECT COMBINATIONS

As laid down in the second paragraph of Section 5 of Chapter 6 this annex lists the subjects that may be combined for the award of a Master of Arts/Science in Secondary Education. 2 Primary school grades 7—9
The subjects for specialisation for primary school grades 7—9 are divided into the following subject groups: - English, Mathematics, Home Languages and Swedish
- Art, Domestic and Consumer Studies, Physical Education and Health, Music and Handicrafts
- English, Modern Languages, Home Languages and Swedish as a Second Language
- Geography, History, Religion and Civics
- Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Technology
- English, Modern Languages, Home Languages, Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language and Sign Language
- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Technology
The subjects that may be combined for specialisation for primary school grades 7—9 are the following:
- one subject from subject group 1 and two others from subject groups 3, 4, or 5 or alternatively two different modern language subjects from subject group 3
- one subject from subject group 2 and two subjects from subject groups 4, 6 or 7
- the subjects Art and Handicraft from subject group 2 and one subject from subject groups 4, 6 or 7
- three subjects from subject group 4 or subject group five, and
- two of the subjects Swedish, Social Studies and Music.
3 Upper-secondary school
The subjects for specialisation for the upper-secondary school are divided into the following subject groups: - English, Mathematics, Home Languages and Swedish
- English, Greek, Latin, Modern Languages, Home Languages, Swedish as a Second Language and Sign Language
- Philosophy, Business Economics, Geography, History, Law, Psychology, Religion and Civics
- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Science Studies and Technology
- Physical Education, and
- Art, Dance, Music and Drama
The subjects that may be combined for specialisation for the upper-secondary school are the following:
- one subject from subject group 1 and another subject from subject groups 2, 3, or 4
- two subjects from subject groups 2, 3 or 4, or alternatively two different modern language subjects from subject group 2
- Physical Education and one subject from subject groups 1, 2, 3 or 4
- one subject from subject group 6 and one subject from subject groups 1, 2, 3 or 4, and
- one subject from subject group 6 and an additional 90 credits in an elective subject area within subject group 6
