The Knowledge Triangle Shaping the Future of Europe
The conference was organised by The Swedish Ministry of Education and Research and The Swedish National Agency for Higher Education as a part of the Swedish presidency of the EU.
The importance of a well-functioning knowledge triangle in the form of interaction between education, research and innovation has been emphasised by EU leaders since 2006. During its Presidency of the EU, Sweden wants to contribute to this process by raising the issue of how better coordination can be achieved between the different sides of the knowledge triangle, focusing in particular on the role of education. Konferensen arrangerades av Utbildningsdepartementet och Högskoleverket som en del av det svenska ordförandeskapet i EU.
Betydelsen av en väl fungerande kunskapstriangel i form av samverkan mellan utbildning, forskning och innovation, har lyfts fram av EU:s ledare sedan 2006. Sverige vill under sitt ordförandeskap i EU bidra till denna process genom att lyfta frågan om hur en bättre samordning kan uppnås mellan kunskapstriangelns delar, med särskilt fokus på utbildningens roll.
