
The Swedish National Agency for Higher Education employed a team of experts to carry out the appraisal. Its members were Erik Åsbrink (Chair); Roland Andersson, Professor Emeritus at the Royal Institute of Technology; Kerstin Bergh, bank manager at Nordea; Harry Flam, Professor at Stockholm University; Bertil Gandemo, Professor Emeritus at Lund University; Ing-Marie Gren, Professor at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences; Lars Hallén, Professor at Mid Sweden University; Johny K Johansson, Professor at Georgetown University; Leif Lindmark, Professor at the Stockholm School of Economics; and Emelie Norborg, student manager at Deloitte.
In accordance with the experts´ report, the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education has decided to reject applications for an entitlement to award MSc in Business and Economics from the following higher education institutions: Blekinge Institute of Technology, University College of Borås, Högskolan Dalarna, Gotland University, University of Gävle, Halmstad University, University of Kalmar, Kristianstad University, University of Skövde, University West, Karlstad University, Luleå University of Technology, Mid Sweden University, Mälardalen University, Södertörn University College, and Örebro University.
Regarding Jönköping University, the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education proposes to the Government that the application be rejected, see the National Agency´s statement 2007-06-20 (reg. no. 641-291-07).
The decision in this matter was made by University Chancellor Sigbrit Franke, following a presentation by investigator Carl Sundström in the presence of Administrative Director Lennart Ståhle, Head of Department Clas-Uno Frykholm and investigator Loulou Wallman.
