Board and Suspensions Board
The Higher Education Appeals Board (Överklagandenämnden för högskolan) and The Suspensions Board for Higher Education (Högskolans Avskiljandenämnd) are independent bodies within Högskoleverket (Swedish National Agency for Higher Education).
The Higher Education Appeals Board is responsible for hearing appeals about decisions reached within the higher education sector and post-secondary education and training. The Board is the final appeal body and its decisions may not be challenged. For more information about the types of decisions that may be appealed and how to make an appeal contact the Board at: onh@onh.se or +46 (0)8 563 087 00.
The Suspensions Board for Higher Education deals with matters about excluding students from higher education studies following complaints from vice-chancellors of higher education institutions. A student who is excluded from higher education may request that the Board reassesses its decision after a two-year period.
